bomar hatch screen

I have an overhead square bomar hatch that I found a bug screen for but, I cannot figure out how I am supposed to use it? if I open the hatch and try to rest it on top of the opening the hatch supports are in the way and I cannot see a way to mount it under the hatch. does anyone have an idea? Or am I maybe missing some form of bracket? Any help would be appreciated.
