Over 50 years starting with sailboats, first a 19' Lightning one-design for about 2 years, then a 22' South Coast for about four years followed by a 30' Hunter sloop I owned for ten years or so. There was a gap of a few years after the sailboats.

Powerboats came next: a 13' Whaler, and a President 41'. I sold the President shortly before Hurricane Andrew. The current fleet includes a 1984 Burns Craft 40 SDMY, a 2002 23' Aquasport Dual Console with 200HP Yamaha 2-stroke and a 10' Boss Boat tender with a 15hp Yamaha 2-stroke. I have owned the Burns Craft for 20 years or more. I am currently lusting for a pilot house but the Admiral is more than a little skeptical.

I've only owned 2 big boats.

Can't say I have ever seen or heard of a Hawaiian Fisherman Grand Banks. I did a quick internet search and found no info or pictures. Would love to see one if you have it.

Here are a couple from when we first bought her. GB36, woodie, without the entire aft trunk cabin, just a humongous flat deck with a bimini over it. Great for diving/fishing. Open the hatches, and we could fit over 20 scuba tanks in the "hold". There was one other that was docked in Kaneohe Bay on Oahu as well. Ours was a single, and the one in Kaneohe was a twin. There was supposed to be one on the Big Island as well. One of the six had been taken to Turkey, I found pics of it on the net, and another said to be in Florida. No idea where the last one went. They were imported specifically for the Hawaiian market.
