Lessee. Forecast 48 dropping to 27 (F), north wind 20-25, rain, seas 4-6 with 4 second period. I guess I can take a pic of the boat in the slip. Happy New Year, Bob.

It's been a pretty amazing 2017! We've been blessed.

I'm looking for the good times to continue for all of us in 2018!

Boating on the last day of 2017

Psneed— that’s so nice! We are headed to Longboat Key to visit the boat Jan 8th. We have three days of freezing weather forecasted which is odd for us here in south Texas, so I’m ready.

I am ready for the Bahamas though.

The Keys are so limited for decent achorages from cold front protection and marinas are few and far between. The ones you call can be pretty lame for answers and help.

Hopefully as I get more experience I might change my mind.......

But at least I am not shoveling snow... just worried where to get in long enough to do laundry and get water.....

Totally agree with you! We've been in a deep freeze in Boston for over 10 days, with another week of low temps to go!

Happy New Year everyone! Can't wait til April.....

well, I was out on Puget Sound today, but no pictures. Actually, the first trip on the new boat. How can that be a bad day?

Maiden Voyage & End of 2017

We took Optimystique, our new to us 2007 Mariner 40 out for her maiden voyage. Great way to end the year! Looking forward to starting the Great Loop as soon as we have a bit more time aboard.

My waterway is all iced up with the 2 weeks or so plus another week with way below normal cold spell. We may hit the teens today....

Anyhow to one and all a happy and safe New Years.
