Smile What is the difference

I'm looking for a Marine Trader 40 Sundeck and I find the same make sundeck boat with the word Labelle as part of the title description...can anyone tell me the difference.

You might guess that I'm new to the trawler community...I am.

I am looking to step up to a sundeck style trawler to 40 feet in length. I've seen several Labells, but can't see any difference.

thanks in advance.

According to PowerBoat Guide the Labelle 40 was built by Bestway Marine for Marine Trader. They also built a 43 Labelle and a 44 Cockpit MY that is the same as the 40 but with an added cockpit.

The world of Taiwan Trawlers is a confusing mess, Many molds sold or loaned between many different yards in Taiwan, the same boat sold under 10 or 12 different names. Here is a good start Venerable Taiwan Trawlers

Marine Trader was not a builder but was an importer. The boats were built in different yards with different quality. Some builders tried to make an excellent product so they could build lots of boats over the long term, others cut corners to save money on the build.
What is more important now in 2018 is the care of the boat over the last 20 years. Have the window leaks been repaired? Has the teak deck been removed? Have the fuel tanks been inspected and rust removed?
