Best anchor paint

I don't think I could fit my anchor into the oven that comes with the Force 10 propane stove??? The anchor is too big! :)

Ours wouldn't fit in the sizeable boot of a 6 cylinder car.
Had to take a 6x4 trailer out to the warehouse to collect it.

Steel is either painted or galvanized to prevent rust. I've only ever seen cheap, dinghy mushroom anchors have painted steel and it never lasts that long.

I would either re-galvanize or replace. If the PO painted their anchor to buy time, then it's time.

To give some feedback, I just painted my CQR. Used etching primer followed by flat Rustoleum black (‘cause that’s what I had laying around).

Then I baked it in the BBQ for 2 hours at 200 degrees F. It has a relatively hard finish but it does abrade. Not as tough as when I used two part epoxy. IMG_1195.jpgIMG_1196.jpgIMG_1197.jpg
