It would be real nice....

I just got done working on an entry for the forum.

I went to post it and got a message to log-in.

I was logged in when I started.

IT would be real nice if in that type of situation the forum didn't dump what you had just finished working on.

Don't plan on re-entering all that I had entered.

I think that sort of occurrence is pretty common in the digital communication era.
I usually re-enter the same story or info in a much improved (in my mind) fashion!

Isn't that just so disheartening?! I, too, have had that happen on many forums. What I try to remember to do now (especially for any long "work of art" type post) is to simply highlight "all" and then "copy." That's very quick and easy and then if anything happens I can "paste" it into a new window and start again with just a couple of clicks.

(If you may be copying anything else, such as a password, then you might want to paste it into a text document for safekeeping; but otherwise you can just leave it "copied" on the clipboard. The 99% of the time that you don't need it, no harm done.)
