Backup camera on garmin 942xs

I was wondering if anyone is using a non garmin analogue camera with their garmin chart plotter. Just bought a garmin camera gc 12 for 350,00 and it doesn’t look like very much. There are a lot of other cameras for a lot less and was wondering if there are any viable alternatives. I want to use the 942xs which has a video input jack and encoder built in. Thanks cliff

I sure hope so . . . I purchased a MARINE IR COLOR CAMERA REVERSE BACKUP DOCK CAM from EBay that claims it works (includes all connectors) but have not installed it yet . . . Once installed will be able to answer, yea or nay . . .
