Apparently Irma was a nothing burger
The MSM dropped all coverage of the hurricane at 7 pm. Gotta appease the cash cow programs you know. Now I have to surf the web to see if the surge actually materializes.
Loved all the trailers being used as devastation props.

thanks for that I'm streaming them now. I felt like I just ran out of crack. LOL
So far it doesnt look like it has as much flood damage as they predicted. Thankfully.

You should tell this to people in St-Barth and St-Marteen, I am pretty sure they would agree...

And confusingly enough thats the highpoint.
Were the models that wrong or was the data manipulated to err on the side of life saving. 15 feet above ground, really?

Seems like you wish there was more looting to meet your agenda.

My dad is in Stuart Florida. They never even lost electricity, although it blinked a couple times. They're going to bed now that it's tapering off. That's the problem with end of the world predictions, eventually people won't believe the media or the authorities - and then when the world really is going to end, their credibility will be blown. Now maybe the media will have to go back to imminent nuclear anihilation from Pyongyang.

A conversation my wife and I have had numerous time during Matthew and Irma.
It is called crying wolf.
Compare the NHC Wind Prob charts posted every 12 hours to what the TV stations are saying and you will see the vast differences. So where are the stations getting their info. Using their own and ignoring NHC?

We don't need all stations 24/7 covering it. Other parts of lives must go on too. Still plenty of places to get information and updates.

I would propose that all "poor" people have a cell phone but not TVs and Computers.

Well, network television isn't going to help them. Local stations are running programs. There are people in other areas of the country and even those here need a break occasionally.
If they have no electricity and tv and no cell phones then they are going to struggle for information until they can get out and talk to people. Communications is definitely one of the biggest post hurricane issues.
We're watching Sunday Night Football. When the curfew is ended tomorrow morning then we'll be able to actually see what is going on.
