Looking to buy a boat in the near future.

Was looking at 62 Offshore yacht flush deck.

Not many available.

Starting to consider Carver voyagers.

Any feedback is welcomed.

Fuel burn vs knots would be interesting.

Also lack of stabilizers. At 20knot cruising speed do you even want stabilizers?

Thanks in advance

I had a 53' Carver Pilothouse (1999) (which is identical to the 57' pilothouse. They just made the salon 4' longer in the 57). I was underwhelmed by the narrow beam, small overall stateroom spaces and lightweight build. Also, the cabinets and other things rattled really bad when you were at idle. Didn't feel like a heavy, sturdy boat. At planning speeds (18 or so knots) fuel burn was substantial like any other planning hull boat (about 0.5 miles per gallon). Stabilizers not really needed at planning speeds. At anchor, she rolled really bad (due to little weight down low and hull design). I owned it for a year and then sold it for a trawler. If someone is looking for a weekender type boat to occasionally use, it would suit that purpose fine. Hope that helps
