I concur with what's been said about Active Captain. If you use it enough you will find that some posters are "dead on" in their comments and then there are some whom you come to find are a bit hysterical in giving warnings and you tend to disregard them. As stated it's a tool, and a darn good one. Also Active Captain works fine in the Bahamas and the Caribbean as well. I am now planning my trip on the "Great Loop" departing in late may from the Chesapeake. I'm already using Active Captain in my prep planning and I find it more helpful than guide books.
