Funny you should mention that, Mark. My Admiral’s former Diplomatic responsibilities required a lot of entertaining. We would open our boat at our yard receptions of 300-500 guests and at any one time there would be 20 or so flowing on and off our Manatee.
It was well known that many deals were negotiated in private get togethers aboard Bucky. Groups of six in the salon, three or four in the stateroom, four in the veranda, four on the bow, four in the pilothouse and six or more clinking glasses on the boatdeck. Once, we even learned of two parties under intense negotiation in the shower. Fortunately, upon checking later, there were no unsavory signs of the deal being consumated.
Separate spaces by which to enjoy cruising upon the waters has always been our favorite feature aboard our humble vessel. One can always find “quiet” time.
