Much like the Seattle boat show, the Vancouver boat show will be virtual this year. Since we are more socialistic than down south, our boat show is free to register.... lol. :whistling:

If you are newer to boating, looking for a new boat, or want to upgrade skills, I can recommend the seminars. Often the people presenting at the Seattle show also present at the Vancouver show. I just looked as of 2 Feb, the seminar schedule has not been released. I did just register for free.

As a card carrying existentialist, how do you know?

OK, how did you guys answer What kind of boater are you
cottager
Marina boater
Trailer Boater
Yacht Club boater

Not a cottager, Trailer or Yacht Club, that leaves Marina boater, so I chose it, does it mean I keep the boat in a marina. I mean I just read the anchor or marina thread and become confused.

Yeah I thought that question was kind of dumb. Since my boat is in a marina I answered "marina boater." But what if you live in Deep Cove in North Van and you are lucky enough to have a jetty on your property, then what are you?

In all of Vancouver and surrounding communities, Deep Cove is one of the few places to have some property jetties. The negative of Deep Cove is that it is set down Indian Army (fjord) and so when you go boating, you have to go down the Arm, under two bridges to the North Shore, Iron Worker's and Lion's Gate, then past Stanley Park, and THEN your cruising begins. And then back. Every time: Repeat.
