Made it out to the SF Bay Opening Day this weekend for the first time. We joined remwines and crew at the Sausalito Schoonmaker Point Marina with his 40 ft Down East trawler from Alameda. Meg and I cruised in Friday with FlyWright through 3 hrs of rain storms and wind kicking up 4 ft waves across San Pablo Bay. After 1700, the skies parted and the rains stopped.
Saturday gave us an opportunity to take in the sights and flavors of Sausalito. By Sunday, we were ready for the Blessing of the Fleet. There was a reverend, rabbi and a priest present on the FDR's Floating White House, Potomac, to cover most of the bases.
Here are a few pics of the weekend
Here's where remwine's boat spent the night. He should have used a claw anchor!!
A beautiful 1908 work boat.
All dressed up in her Sunday's Best!!
