A Plastic Boat Goes South.

Well finally headed South to Bandon, Oregon today.

Left Anacortes at 0455.
Arrived at Grays Harbor at 1708.

Not a bad first day.

Looks like you had a nice weather window , hope seas stay that way for the rest of your journey.

Godspeed.

My first boat-memory was chasing a plastic toy tugboat running down the street gutter during a rain storm. Darn that I don't know what happened to the boat after its recovery.

Well you couldn't have picked a much better boat to take a trip like that in. Have a great time, watch out for the crab traps, and enjoy yourselves.

Looks a lot nicer than when I went into Grays Harbor. We had 18’ seas and the CG sent a 47 MLB out to escort us in. Enjoy your trip.

We had some days just like that also. We ran from Newport OR to Eureka CA in conditions just like that. Much better than the coast of WA.

Yessir. Seas were fairly confused until South of the Columbia River. Now the autopilot is set and we are running 22 knots.

What do you have for engines? I would not want to be buying your fuel...

Cummins 450 CTA’s 8.3.

Fuel is rarely my biggest expense. But with this boat it is all about the weather window. I like to make use of it when it is water ski type conditions

Have fun. We had a great time even when the weather wasn’t great.
