Hello everybody,
Im trying to plan a trip from Ft. Lauderdale to Montego Bay in mid August. My Jefferson holds about 600gal of fuel. So im looking for feedback on people that have taken the Eastern route between Cuba and the DR.

Can we as Americans still get fuel and Cuba. Or which route would you take.

Thanks
Pat

Welcome to TF. I can't help you there, being where I am, but hopefully someone familiar with the area in your query will chime in soon..? :flowers:

No direct knowledge but have some prior research.

Noonsite.com is the best starting place. From there, some cruising guides are listed including a free PDF.

A decent 2015 Cruising World article. Fuel is not mentioned, but logistics of entrance and movement are. Note that $US are not officially accepted. If you do find fuel, you will need some way to pay for it. Article suggests converting to Euro prior to arrival.

Frankly, Cuba looks like a hassle. Is there a reason to avoid refueling in the Bahamas?

Good luck
