Go for it Marty! Who knows if I'll actually make it this year, but if I do, my guest stateroom will almost certainly be available

Anyone with questions about the Great Loop or any other topic on earth not related to the 2021 Ft. Pierce TrawlerForum Rendezvous, please start a new thread or add to an existing thread on that topic.

Let's get back to the subject topic, the 2021 Ft. Pierce travel plans.

Thanks.

The get together is mostly boaters getting together to do fun things. It was not started as a rendezvous like many organizations have, not to say it can't evolve. Good boating rated activities occur and interactions between individuals also, but lectures, specific groups or topics are not the theme....and weren't really the intention.

Despite what some who haven't attended may think...the forum, its members and topics (pertaining to specific threads ) are generally not discussed as it is reality boating versus a web site. At the gathering you met the boater, not their keyboard.

Comrades and fun are really the themes, but great boating tidbits are also a constant stream, like whenever boaters get together, just no agenda.

I'm definitely in for the rendezvous. So flywright you're saying there is no loop group? Seems strange with all these trawler folks. Don't you think?

What don't you understand???....it's not a rendezvous with topics and lectures...it's mostly JUST a social gathering.

But groups do fun things like visit attractions in the area.

If you are mainly interested in the Great Loop....

Now...just like any other gathering of boaters...general boating and cruising topics are talked about and there is plenty of free time for you you ask if anyone would love to sit over a drink and swap cruising and geography stories.

I believe the gentleman was asking if there was a Loop sub forum anywhere on TF, not specifically at this meeting.

Pmcsurf1, there is not. However under Cruising And Events there are the East Coast and Interior Water sections. So I would go there and post your questions and thoughts on a new thread you can start and let this thread be solely about the Fort Pierce gathering.

We are more likely than not to be cruising South Florida this winter, perhaps our last big cruise of Scot Free. I should know by Thanksgiving how our schedule is working out. Would love to attend again...

I doubt it. Been a sailor since I was a kid. Hard to walk away from the sea.

I got an unsolicited offer on the boat that was more than I thought I could get. Broker tells me the market is hot. Turned it down because I’m not done yet. But it got me thinking about perhaps downsizing a little. 53’ is a lot to single hand in the heat of summer especially since I have slowed down significantly after my heart surgery.

So maybe I will sell Scot Free after this winter season. I will probably look for something 38-42’. Or maybe not. I do really like my boat.

Glad to find out Don got the ball rolling again, that is why he is the major domo. Thanks also to Ted.

Watfa and I will be there on any date that works for the group. She will again feed those of you with appetites and a pension for alcohol. We look forward to this all year as the highlight of our season (yeah we lead a boring life. LOL

My only suggestion for the date is to pick a weekend that is not the same as the Miami Bost Show.

Hi Scott

After the elections it might be over. In any event I’ll make reservations tomorrow and hope it happens. It’ll be good to see you again.
