Mississippi Traffic

With the low water conditions that we are experiencing, I have heard that the barge traffic on the Mississippi south of St Louis is creating navigation problems. Does anyone have any first hand knowledge? I am looking to bring a 76' MY down thru the Mississippi and TennTom later this month.
