44ft Randell project.....

Gday, well here it goes..
bought her from hastings, moved it to tooradin and have a 3 year build plan.

its all very new and overwhelming, i have some hands on skills to get me though, but need lots of advice on things too...

she is un-named at present... i want to call her "Estranged" (guns and roses) but wife not happy..lol so will compromise

not sure the etiquette on here yet, of how many photos to put up...

have a few ideas on what i want to do, lets see how it goes..

Worrying. Hendo started with a Randall, and look where it took him!
But your 44 looks fibreglass. Did it come with engines and running gear, what is its history. They have a great reputation, and were put to many uses, incl commercial. I nearly bought one years ago but the outdrive legs told me not to.

Hope it goes well.

Yes, welcome to another Aussie. Also, as Bruce just said, Hendo (Matt) on here might well have lots of tips because he's had a lot of practice. Set aside a coupla weeks and read his thread, here...

Ooooo hello hello hello. This will be a good thread to watch. Can’t wait to see what you’ve got planned? Is this a MKIII ? Don’t be afraid to ask for help and suggestions. The folks on here are great.

I would take a couple of days and list everything you need to do. Then prioritize the list in a logical fashion and get started. I would try to focus on maybe a couple of projects and try to finish them so you will have some successes so that you don’t get discouraged.

If you got em, post em. We only get cranky when there aren't enough photos.

I'd fair and paint Chris. Lovely looking boat and you can see it was designed by Len Randell. Every Randell I've been on has been a great seaboat. Welcome aboard,

Brett

Fair or just prep, and paint. If you panel you won`t see what, if anything, happens behind the panel.
