vibration

Recently I touched bottom in mud for a few seconds. The result was a slight vibration in the starboard side. could only feel it by placing my hand on the shaft. Took it to our marina shop to check it out. Apparently one of the starboard motor mounts was loose. We had run the boat only once since touching bottom. That obviously did not begin the week before. The props were checked and adjusted, shafts aligned and I was told all was well . On the way back to our club I noticed a loud whine from the PORT side, began at 800rpm( my engines idle at 710). It continued until the engine drowned it out.Clearly the port side. The whine was so loud my wife could not stand to be in the salon. The next day we went out with a captain who listened in the engine room. Not a belt or engine issue. Seemed to come from aft of the shaft log. I have cutlass bearings that were replaced a year ago and looked good on the pull out.The sound is clearly new since the work was done Any thoughts from more experienced boaters on the stance I need to take on this.Formerly I had a Meridian 368 with an unfixable vibration( check the Meridian website).I spent a good bit a money with two marinas both claiming they found the problem- but finally Meridian admitted they had no idea what to do,Sorry for the long post, I feel like history may repeat itself.OB

Go in the engine room and rotate shafts by hand. See how stiff rotation is comparing both sides.
