Was hoping to get some of y'alls thoughts. Looking to put an offer on a 34 Californian and got some interesting information from a previous survey done. Apparently the surveyor noted attached.

In short two different prop pitches and different rake of the drive shafts causing the port strut mount to sit 5 inches in front of the starboard.

Fundamentally this seems like a huge issue, and an considering walking away.

Really appreciate any feedback. TIA.

Stamping could be inaccurate, how did the boat run? Balanced, capable of reaching wot on both engines? How did the wake look?

I would guess that maybe the 13 and 18 may have been read incorrectly. The 3 may look like an 8 or vice versa. Take the props to a prop shop and they can scan them and find out what they are and what condition they are in. Usually they don’t charge for this since they want to get the work on the props if they are out of shape, and they will probably be out of shape. This would probably not be a deal breaker for me. Depends on the rest of the boat. But keep in mind that the boat is working now, check during a sea trial.

I am not sure but it has worked for 44 years…
