Island Gypsy HIn

looking for a HIN on a 1980 Island Gypsy. Cannot find it in any documents for the last 20 Years. The boat is documented and insured, looks like people just ignored the number.

Found mine on the transom centered below the swim platform. Painted over numerous times so only found it when sanding down to gel coat. By then I had already epoxied an engraved plastic number on the upper right transom.

The HIN for our boat I found on the original warranty card that was never sent.
The pattern will be similar to this: KHE 32 102 H989
KH - Kong & Halvorsen
E - this may change according to what factory built your boat
32 - this is the model
102 - 102nd boat built of this design
H989 - forgot what the letter means but the balance is Sept 1989.
