*The annual wooden boat festival at our marina, not all Halvorsens, but some pretty nice peices of floating timber.

Harvey Halvorsen sent me this Commuter about 3 years ago. He said his dad designed this boat inh 1941.

I think the boat in your photo is called 'Meggsie' designed by Harold and subsequently *built by Lars Halvorsen *in 1947. She is a 50' Bridgedecker, is absolutely gorgeous,*and would be a handful to keep in her present condition, boy you would have to be dedicated, nothing like it on the water though.

Come to think of it, just right for someone who knows and likes Halvorsens but is a little jaded with life afloat on* the (fiberglass) waves*.

Andy,
I like the one in photo 4 with the sunken aft cockpit and the s/s funnel (looks like it should be a steamer)
and some of them even have proper gangways, cool hey
