What is happening

I set up a thread earlier today and now it is gone. Also I see private massages but to view I am supposed to load some other program. ?????? I tried it and it changed home page and set up garbage email stuff. Is this part of the forum? Or junk from pop ups.

Seems as though you clicked on the bogus "You Have 2 (sometimes 1) Private Messages" ad.

As to the private message. You do not need to load any program to read a private message. In the top right corner of the screen you will see something that looks like this...

By clicking on the Private messages word(a hyperlink) you will go straight to your message folder.

What you perhaps clicked on is a rather deceptive ad in our advertising banner placed there(and they are different for everybody) by Google. We have very limited control of what ads Google puts there. Janet our administrator is aware of the ad and should be along soon to let us know if it can be blocked from running on our site or not.
