Is there any way to block posts from a specific member?
Just wondering. It would save time scrolling past some posts. That's one advantage of a mail list.

There appears to be a tab on the bottom right side of your user control panel. Click on the user CP button at the top right of the page to access it.

There is not a whole heck of a lot a traffic here. I would imagine that your post you want will never be more than 4 or 5 post down. Now I get lots of post updates in my email which I quickly turned off. Interesting question

Thanks, and thank goodness! It even leaves a little spacer that says something like "you cannot see this post because XXX is on your ignore list".

TBH... I wish it DIDN'T say that and just blocked the post altogether.
(like you'll see this... I'm probably on half the board's ignore list)

Gee. One must be very sensitive if even the thought of an "enemy" making a post bugs one.

Nah, not mine. Besides being interested in what you have to say, my fingers are still strong enough to swipe the screen on my iPad or move the trackball on my computer to scroll past posts I don't want to read or am not interested in. The nano seconds I'm exposed to these posts as they scroll by have so far not altered my life experience. Maybe when I get older and such finger movements become a painful chore and I feel the mere sight of a post I don't want to read is enough to send me to a trembling fit I'll use the filters. But for now, Gonzo, post away. If I want to read your stuff I will and if I want to skip over it I can.

Just saves a lot of time if you never read posts from someone anyway.

Well no... while you can ignore most everyone, moderators can't be ignored with the option in your profile. OTOH hopefully there would be no reason to want to ignore a mod

The danger in ingnoring posts from a specific member or members is that your response to a thread may not make sense because you have not read (because you blocked them) the previous responses in the thread.
You could end up looking pretty stupid.
