Moderators take note please
Some character from Bangalore called Trident is posting spam at the foot of virtually every thread, totally in contravention of forum rules.

I'm on it. Thanks to everyone that used the 'Report Post' button and brought this to our attention. Let us know if we missed any or if we get hacked again.

Never saw or looked at that thingy.
Cool.
Perhaps I will have need for it some day.
So. Does this go straight to the moderators?

Yep! Got about 8 (10?) notifications overnight last night and Tom had it all handled by the time I got online this morning.

This button:
You can use it for lots of things with respect to forum ops. It's not like an alarm goes off or your account is flagged as an over-abuser of the button. It's just a good way to have a direct Bat-Button to the Mod team. It fires of an email to the whole team and generates a post in our private "talk-about-you-guys-behind-your-back" board. Keep in mind, we like porn, so if you see a good porn post, PLEASE report it so I... ahem.. grm... umph... WE can report it to the proper authorities.

Greetings,
THAT Mr. SD is totally acceptable. Maybe I was too hasty. If so I apologize.
When I see the exploitation of women and VERY particularly children (read pedophiles) it makes my blood boil. I've been following the Jimmy (ex Sir Jimmy) Savile scandal in GB and it's nauseating. Maybe I'm too sensitive but ANY proven and documented case of abuse of children is the ONE instance I would agree with the death penalty!
Sorry, rant off...

With you on that,Australia has announced a national Royal Commission into child abuse by organizations charitable, religious, educational, after years of: cover ups, denials, obfuscation, lies, hiding and moving predators to new locations (even overseas),pay offs in exchange for secrecy, suicides, ruined lives etc. Every trick in the book has been used by offender organizations; the day of exposure and reckoning is here.
The acts of hackers pale into insignificance with this, but thank you Moderators for stamping on them in response to notifications.

Janet H- The wife is nuts for Twinkies. As you know, they to join with your treat in to the "What was". world. However, in the spirit of sharing, The receipt for "Twinkies" has been released to the world. Now if I could just obtain the 'Coke" secret!!!
Al Johnson-Ketchikan
27 foot Marben
Golden “Twinkie” Cake:
2 cup all-purpose flour
3 tsp. baking powder
¼ tsp. salt
½ cup unsalted butter, softened
1 cup sugar
2 large eggs
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1 cup whole milk
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F. Spray molds/pan with non-stick spray.
Sift together flour, baking powder and salt into a bowl and set aside.
In a large bowl, beat together butter and sugar at medium-high speed until pale and fluffy. Next, beat in the eggs one at a time, beating for 1 minute in between each addition. Reduce the mixer speed and add flour mixture alternating with the milk, beginning and ending with the flour mixture. Add the vanilla and mix until the batter just comes together. Over mixing with make your cake chewy. Makes 12 cakes.
Spray your Twinkie canoes and bake at 350 for 15 minutes, or until the cakes are just a light golden color and a tester inserted in the center of the cakes comes out clean. Remove from the oven and let cool.
Cream Filling
¼ cup shortening (I prefer Crisco brand)
¼ cup margarine
1 cup sifted powdered or 10x sugar
2 tsp. vanilla
Beat together the shortening and margarine until light and fluffy. Add the powdered sugar in a little at a time and beat on high until peaks form. Add vanilla and beat for one minute. Place in prepared icing tubes for piping into cakes.
To fill the cakes, insert the icing tip – preferably a large star tip – into three points along the flat-side of the cake, about 1/8 of an inch deep. Squeeze lightly until you see the filling begin to ooze out.

Thanks for clarifying that Craig. I was livid when I found this spam post at the bottom of every thread, and I guess I was one of the first because of the time difference. I looked all over for a report post button and came up dry. I though that wee triangle thing was to do with the poster's avatar or signature, not a report post link, so all I could do was start a thread alert. Now we know. Actually I never wanted or needed to do that before on any forum I'm on.
Talk about thread creep, by the way - how did we get onto cookie goodies trying to seduce us to the dark side...damn... I'm going to have to raid the pantry now Janet..

What a strange post this has turned into. From spammers to paedophiles to cake recipes all in the first page.
Bruce, re paedophiles, I hope you are right, but given the Irish experience and the unfinished work of the Wood Royal commission(Australia) just announcing these enquiries is a long way from ultimately outing the bastards. Still it is a good start.
This is not Thread creep, it's more the Usain Bolt of thread creep. Or perhaps 'Thread Bolt'.
