I am a new owner of a 1980 36' DC. I had stripped as much off her to refinish over the winter and while scrapping, sanding, repainting the mast/boom it occured to me that a yardarm would be a nice addition .... flags, deck lights, etc. Problem is that I can't find any plans for fabricating a wooden one. I have some concepts but am tossing it out to those who have one for dimensions, hardware, detailed photos, etc.

are you talking about a spreader like bar(I don't know all the terms ) if so I have my mast with spreader and flag lines in the garage. I can take pics .

Yes. My terminology isn't the best either. I was hesitant to use spreader as it wont be spreading the stays ..... I really appreciate it.

I held the file up to show where there is a seem in the wood I think the one half was attached to the mast then the wiring ran in a void then the second half added .

you can also see a dark spot beside the file that was where a single enclosed pulley was mounted and another out side the light for a total of 4.
