Bought the barely used West Marine 310 Rib from PO. Good price and barely used since new. And when on boat was fully covered.

Flippin' slow leak. Soaped the valves as I cant imagine a hole developing anywhere from use. No joy (pun intended).

Anybody have a similar problem. Do not feel like soaping the whole dinghy if I can avoid it.

Thanks in advance.

I wound up rolling my dingy around with inflatable boat sealant from Defender.

Maybe not the answer you wanted to hear, but that reduced my leak rate by more than half.

Seams are likely culprits. You should have multiple chambers, target the one deflating. That said, it can be a thankless task.

I have used dish soap in a spray bottle and found the leaks. Yes, you will likely have to do the entire boat.

Fixed it.

Went back at RIB slow leak yesterday.

All three chambers had a problem so I figured it had to be the valves.

What I did not realize is that the valves are mechanically installed and can be tightened with the now-not-so-strange-tool-in-the-repair-kit.
