Ranger Tug engines

Just curious; do Ranger Tugs offer smaller engines?

The 29 footer has a 260hp beast in it which would be a tad overkill for us...if we ever decided to do the trailerable trawler thing.

I would humbly suggest that this is a question best answered by the manufacturer.

They plane - they need the power.

They plane they need the lightweight power.

I thought they all had Yanmars. Best for that boat IMO.

I think Cummins power was an option later in the lineup.

Murray, As mentioned these boats are powered to plane and they're engined accordingly. Some also have Volvos. Many have gensets and other heavy options, upping the power required.
