Rudder packing

Does any one know the packing size for the Manatees rudder stuffing box?? I now know why mine was leaking. Not much left of it. The shaft size is 1-1/4”.

Tom: Talk to either John Geer or Bill Harris over at Krogen Yachts in Stuart. Both were long-time Manatee owners and probably have the specs on that. Krogen cruisers forum would be another place to ask. Strangely, I never had to do my own rudder packing in the decade of ownership.

Thanks Heal. I talked to Bill but he was not sure. I just picked up some that fits the ledge of the packing nut. I only had a small piece left of the old stuff, the rest was almost a dust, no coherent pieces. No wonder it was leaking.
