Osmosis

Can anyone advise if GB42’s have any history of osmosis?

A particular brand or model doesn't have to have a history to have osmosis...it is everything from layup of that particular vessel to its day to day existence in warm waters and hauling and paint, etc...etc...

I did 8 months of research on the subject during this fiasco....

The 42 in question has never been in warmer climes and appears well cared for, but purchase survey planned for this week so fingers crossed.

There is no guarantee that a survey finds it.

From my research, only core sampling is really the only test that can confirm it, except that sometimes pulling a few well dispersed thru hulls might.

Not to scare anyone, just what I have researched.

Like medical issues...no real need to worry unless symptoms like strange blistering or bad tapping or high moisture content (all inconclusive by themselves) plus the history of the boats life might make one suspicious to investigate further.
