Ours is a different year and model of GB42 so your setup may be different…
On our boat I would run the cable down the inside of the mast accessing it at the cover immediately below and aft of the mast step and run it forward to the helm overhead console through the cable raceway above the headliner. Then it would go down the ss tube that covers the lower and upper helm interconnect. If you are lucky a PO has left a pull line in place.
