Is it possible/practical/advisable to fit a conventional domestic electric cooker and hob rather than a specific 'marine' product?

am replacing my princess stove / oven with an induction cooktop unit as we speak. ditching oven for cabinet space and induction units are a little more efficient. (less waste heat)

I suspect there is no difference between a stove top cooker sold for a boat and one for your home except for $$$.

I too replaced the electric burner top on our boat with an induction stove top. Works fine and looks great.

I want to do this. What brand and model cook top are you installing. Photo of finished job would be nice too.

With a house type unit make sure your grounding wire is correctly installed. The wirering can be different and leak.
