1989 42 Classic

Hi - I am considering purchasing a 1989 42 Classic. It has 375 HP Cats and cruises at 18 Knots. I was wondering how these narrow beam ( before 1991 wide beam ) boats handle in choppy conditions? It has no stabilizers. Thanks

We have a GB the same exact year and engines and ours does fine.

Everyone that rides in ours when we have less than favorable conditions (ocean, sound, river) comments on the way it handles the conditions.

Try opening this file. It's the manual for my 1986-42 Classic, hull #966. It should help.

Afraid they don't have your engines or transmission manuals. Trawler Forum does not seem to allow me to attach files. I guess it is still 2003 here

Here are links to the two closest owners manuals I can find to your hull number:

http://www.grandbanksowners.com/memb...ositManual.pdf
http://www.mv-dreamer.com/Manuals/Gr...e%20Manual.pdf

If you cannot see the links, PM me your email address and I will send them to you.
