Noticed the subject brand/models on YW that have been listed for some time. Any members have any experience with these hulls?
They appear to be stout, well made trawlers. The builder had some very nice ideas when these were built IMO. Kind of surprised to see the two currently for sale “still for sale”.
Although I’ve never been aboard either vessel, and have no interests, financially or otherwise in either one, I have always liked the brand. Guess I am sorry /disappointed they haven’t found a proper home yet (wishing I were closer to that decision myself).
Anyone know about either of these or sister ships in general?

The 43 Maga looks top heavy to me. They built several of those and nobody seems to put hrs on them. They change hands and show up shortly on YW for sale again. Those Cape Island style hulls are incredibly seaworthy.....as lower profile boats. My guess is , they have issues because weight up high. Just my guess.

I saw those, love the layout from the photos, but they do look top heavy to me also. But they are pretty lines if a bit stubby.

“Top heavy”. Interesting observations. That hadn’t occurred to me. I’ve never seen any with either flopper stopper outriggers or stabilizer fins. Was hoping an owner was a member so as to gain some firsthand /real-time observations and experiences. Only a limited number of hulls popped from the molds so perhaps there will not be any comments.

I really like the boats. I see that one of them has deal pending now on Yachtworld. Maybe top heavy isn’t the right words but something looks a little off with the lines.

I'm thinking this is the 4th or 5th owner of a boat built in 2002 with less than 1000 hrs on it. Look at the out of water profile of the hull. I was on one of these (may have been this one ) in Jax about 6 years ago...

What was it like? I had my eye on these boats because they have just about everything that I wanted in a larger boat. But I had some reservations when I looked at the photos of them away from the docks, looked a bit out of proportion.

From my lazy boy chair Perspective, having just watched several YouTube videos of similar sized “N”s and “S”s I don’t see the top heavy perspective some speak about. I see a lot of freeboard in comparison to an N. There is not the visual heaviness on a hardtop on an FB. So I guess it’s all in the eye of the beholder. I will admit to thinking the keel in proportion to beam looks exceptionally “deep” on several of the dry dock pictures. Then again I haven’t been around too many N’s and S’s when they’re on the hard for comparison.
Is interesting the number of owners on one particular hull if it is that many as indicated.

Apologies. Although a different price point for sure I was referring to Nordhavn and Selene. Solely from an esthetic perspective.
