MS 400 - Is there a way to remove sliding side windows?

The black plastic "handle" that is also the latch to secure the sliding windows has come unglued on two of the three side windows. I have tried to lift and remove the pane from the bottom but no luck. Removing the entire outer frame may work but I am reluctant to do that if it's going to break a seal that keeps the rain out.

Has anybody figured out how to get the sliding pane out?
