Mainship 430 Windlass Removal HELP

I'm trying to remove and replace the Horizon 1500 anchor windlass on my 2001 Mainship 430. It is fastened to the anchor pulpit by four studs/nuts. I can easily reach and remove the two aft nuts but I can't figure out any way to get to the two forward fasteners.


Are there any Mainship 430 owners out there who have removed their Horizon Express windlass? I'm really stumped. I have a nearly new replacement ready to install if I can just figure out how to remove the old one. It almost looks like the windlass was premounted on the pulpit when the hull was joined to the decks.

If you can't reach all 4 through the anchor locker, then check to see if the two forward ones are accessible from underneath the bow pulpit. You may need to get into a dinghy and stand on the seat and get your face up in there.
