Just so I understand, there is a crossover line between the 2 water tank right?

And there is no shut off valve between the 2?

So if one quantity sensor is inop it would still pretty much show an accurate water level?

The water sensor in the Starboard tank is inop and I really cant reach it to replace.

Yes, there is a crossover line between the tanks. My boat does not have a shut off valve in the crossover, but maybe some do.

The sender and gauge for the water tanks on the 400 is notoriously unreliable. I took my gauge out and installed a SOC monitor in its spot.

As far as a water gauge, I just climbed down into the laz, measured the height of the tanks and used a sharpie to mark the 3/4, 1/2 and 1/4 levels. If I am wondering about how much water is in the tanks I open the laz hatch and look.

Not worth sweating it over the gauge IMO.
