I am looking at a 2000, 39 and I am told by the broker that the port fuel tank has a leak that needs to be repaired.
A friend had a 30 ft Mainship that also had a fuel tank issue.
Are the fuel tanks on Mainships an issue in general?

Repaired?????? No it needs to be replaced. Not cheap unless easy to remove.

Bayview is correct. Unless it's a fitting it's goodbye to the tank. Next year you'll find a new spot.
The cost is all in the labor to R/R the tank. Some guys end up pulling engines.
