Access to fresh water tanks on Mainship 430 Sedan

We've recently aquired a Mainship 430 Sedan (2007). On the list of projects is fixing the fresh water tank monitor located in the galley. I assume the monitor is connected to the port tank. However, I have not been able to find the best way to access the water tanks. Diagrams show the port freshwater tank forward of the fuel tank, but I don't see access from the engine room or the access in the floor aft of the main cabin. Any suggestions from other owners of this boat?

Trawler Forum has been extremely informative and I appreciate all the knowlege found here!

Thanks,
Mark

Don't know your boat but I know mine.

Cases like this require you to hire a young skinny guy to do the job.

Welcome Aboard,

pete

Mark,

I have the same boat, my water tank gauge no longer works either. I will make an effort to find how to access it and if you find out first please post the answer.

Good luck,

Mike

I received a response outside this forum from an owner with the same problem. The owner identified the location of the freshwater tank outward of the lower fuel tank and was able to access the area only by drilling through two layers of plywood under the floor galley storage area. However, to solve the tank monitor problem, they installed at Jakmeter (http://www.jakmeter.com/) next to their water pump. Although they have to reset the meter each time they fill their water tanks, they now have an accurate measure of what is in their tanks. I will be implementing the same solution.
