2006 Mainship 400 Bow/Stern Thruster Fuse block replacement

I don’t think so. It’s probably heat sensitive. You will be resetting it just when the s#%t hits the fan.
 
I think the both the bow & stern thruster motors are protected by a very high amperage fuse installed below aft of the engine start battery area.



Would it be a good or a bad idea to replace this fuse block with one of these?

One for bow and one for Stern?

It will not work. The rated value is about 600A. I have messured mine and the result was 670A in the bow and 970A in the stern. I have changed the stern, wich is a long story with Sleipner factory here in Scandinavia.
The termal type of fuse is slow and that is good for that kind of load.
