Yet Another Window Question

Hi all,

I have a Hyatt 40 and of course I have window leaks. I have rebuilt windows before, so I am OK with that. My question is about how the frame is sealed into the cabin. The fiberglass window cutouts are recessed into the glass. Around the perimeter if the frames is a caulk fillet. Has anyone removed windows sealed in this way? I was thinking a piece of piano wire passed through and see-sawed around the frame to remove. Also, does anyone have an idea as to what type of sealant-caulk was used in 1992?

Thanks,

Ray
