Looking for Wood Rail Hinge

Hey everyone!

New owner of a 1983 MT 36. We are working on the hand rails and have discovered the PO dropped the starboard rail gate overboard several years ago.

I have been unable to locate the gates in bronze. I found the stainless version
at Go2 Marine but not the bronze.

Any one have any ideas on where i might find the bronze version?

This old thread is a STICKY in the Classified section of T.F. for used equipment stores.

Try contacting them for a hinge.

You might also have a photo handy of one of the types you have now. I assume you have another. Post here and also have handy of any of the stores indicate thay can help

There us a marine salvage outfit in St Augustine FL...forget the name but search should turn it up.
I'm sure they would have some... may have to call. They list on eBay but have MUCH more available than what us listed.

if you cant find it use the SS nobody will notice it on opposite sides of the boat.

I don't think you'll find them in Bronze anymore. Might find a used one like Bacchus suggests. I think Perko was the last manufacturer to make them, but not anymore.

Bayview's idea works for me. Or buy two stainless and replace both.

Thanks to everyone who commented. I did decide to change to the Stainless option....one at a time and work my way around the boat!
