I have a year 2000 SIMRAD CA42 that is shot and isn't supported. I have a Robertson AP22 autopilot and a IS15 sounder. Can I keep the AP and sounder and hook them up to one of the new Raytheon MFDs that connect via WiFi to tablets? I also have a ANRITSU radar dome. Really don't want ot replace an entire system if I don't have to. Thanks

The AP takes a NMEA 0183 signal from any head unit, so you can keep that. The RM MFD can be used to control any AP.

The radar is not interfaceable with any of the modern gear, nor is the sounder.

Rats. That's what I figured, but I thought I'd ask. At least I can salvage the AP. Thanks

I wouldn't fret too much. Electronics have taken a huge step forward from your current gear, and prices have come down greatly. You'll be surprised what you can cobble together in a NMEA 2k network- different manufacturers talking on the same network to provide you the best information possible.
