Anyone been thru Kent Narrows Md lately? Is the "unknown metal object" still in the north channel? Still 4 foot depth?

The North channel has been dredged. It is still shallow but not a problem if you draft less than 6 feet. And, the COE did not find a metal object. That was speculation based on the nature of the grounding/strike that occurred to one boat. The Corps did find an unmarked shoal and set new markers there. Since then (several months ago) there have been no incidents reported. I live at Piney Narrows Yacht Basin on Kent Narrows. This problem has been actively tracked by local folks. Many boats, including sailboats with deeper keels, transit this channel everyday. Just pay attention to the channel markers as you would do anywhere. Lose focus and you will run aground.
