I have a ringing noise coming from the port engine running gear between 1200-1500 rpm.
Noise goes away over 1500 rpm
Is this possible cutlass bearing issue or maybe my Spurs rubbing and riinging.

Could be either of those, the transmission, or the prop itself can sometimes make that noise oddly enough. Have you been able to rule out the engine or transmission?

No noise from engine when out of gear at those rpms.
Don’t know how to eliminate transmission from running gear.

How are your shaft grounded?
Could be the noise generated by the grounding strap on riding on the shaft.
I say that based upon my own experience.

Grounding contact is there riding on the shaft.
Did not think of that.
I could pull it off and run to see thanks.
Won’t be till spring but I will try that

Mechanics stethoscope? I keep one onboard for just such a occasion.
