I don’t understand, have you never had a remote for your AP? I’v never had an AP that didn’t have a remote. In the early days the remotes had 20’ cords.

We had a 22’ center console that I put an autopilot in with a wireless remote. It was very nice.

Have always had a remote for the AP. Wouldn't want one without.
Alas, the flip flops are put away for the winter.
She needs to go shopping as the supply of winter clothing is now totally inadequate.
