I was hanging out at Lock 1 south of Oswego yesterday and saw this guy come through the locks. Bit of a shock. Turns out it's a one way cruise from Chicago to Rhode Island via the Erie Canal. Neat.

I was thinking that might be a good alternative to bringing my personal boat up north. Then I clicked on the link and found that the cruise starts at just under $5K per person. And that doesn't include getting there and back.

We saw him about 10 days ago headed the other direction. I bet its the return leg back to RI...first leg being RI west to Chi town
