We have a 42' Grand Banks Motoryacht , been exploring davits. Found this Grand Banks for sale on yachtworld and he has Atkins & Hoyle davits. I really like the setup.

Does anyone have any experience with these davits?

No hands-on experience, but the company has been making davit systems largely unchanged for something like 40 years. I'd bet they'd have replacement parts ready to go out. I think they've always been pretty highly regarded in their home market (Ontario).

I put a pair of Atkins & Hoyle davits on my Mainship 390 last year after the St. Croix davits I ordered from Atlantic Towers were still not available after a 10 month wait (I was promised two month delivery). I am delighted that Atlantic Towers could get their act together because I ended up with a far better davit from Atkins & Hoyle.

The support I got from Brian Atkins during the purchase and installtion process was excellent. I highly recommend this company and thier davits.

Before you purchase make sure your mounting points are strong enough to take the weight .
Its a massive mechanical advantage once a dingy and outboard are hooked up .

And if you purchase a dink, be sure there is a plug you can remove to let rain water out.
