I have hydraulic throttles and shifters. One of my shifters bracket broke and I need to disconnect the nylon hoses to get the unit to the welder. The system is normally pressurized at 85psi. If I depressurize the system what happens when I disconnect the two lines? I assume the fluid will start to drain out. Can I use vice grips on the nylon tubing or will it crack? Any other ideas?

I'm waiting for a vender callback.

Keep the lines higher than reservoir and should be fine.
Wrap rags around ends to keep clean.
Don't use vice grips on nylon, it will break. Use correct size spanner on brass fitting instead.

Unfortunately, one hose goes to the reservoir, the other to controls in the pilot house and fly bridge.
