We have a 34' CHB, although not a Ponderosa. Nice looking boat and welcome aboard.

There are at least a couple of CHB 35s on here!!!

Welcome aboard!!!

Nice looking boat. Mine's a CHB (Clipper here in Oz) 34', sedan version. However, I must say if I was to have an aft cabin, that arrangement on yours looks the way to go. Someone over here on Moreton Bay who sails a 34 aft cabin like Rocky's actually did a conversion to a full width aft cabin with sundeck on top. The boat had a lot of rot in the aft cabin walls, so as they had to do a re-build, so they said "what the heck - let's go the whole hog." It works well, and looks ok too.
